Issue 12 of 2021 | BEE Chamber members newsletter brought to you by TFM Magazine
BEE CHAMBER / 15 APRIL 2021 - 14.33 / STELLA NOLAN
B-BBEE was designed to thrive in a healthy economy. The pandemic has seen shrinking profit margins, with organisations squarely focussed on cash preservation and liquidity. Thus with austerity measures in place, there will be a marked decline in spending. Consequently, if the lockdown had a negative impact on a business, elements where targets directly link to an organisation’s Net Profit After Tax, such as Enterprise & Supplier Development and Socio-Economic Development or the Leviable Amount in Skills Development, will shrink. As a result, the impact on the scores derived in an organisation’s next Measurement Period will reveal itself. The BEE Chamber team recognises these challenges and actively works with members to lessen the impact of austerity.
As a practical tool, this communique provides BEE Chamber members with critical information to drive and accurately calculate their B-BBEE scorecard and manage the risk of Fronting Practice**. Exciting news…the next monthly BEE Chamber TFM Webinar will be our first TFM Quarterly Summit. We will be launching the next issue of our TFM Magazine with speakers talking us through their articles. You do not need to make a special booking as your registration for the monthly BEE Chamber TFM Webinar will gain you access. We look forward to hosting you.
