Proposed Amendments to the B-BBEE Codes - 29 March 2018

Dr Rob Davies, Minister of Trade and Industry, released proposed amendments to the B-BBEE codes on the 29th of March 2018. The proposed amendments are open for public commentary and the dti invite interested persons and the public to submit inputs and comments on the Draft Statement within 60 days from the date of this publication.

 

Listed below are the key proposed amendments to the codes:

 

KEY AMENDMENTS

 

1. The Introduction of the Youth Employment Service Initiative and BBBEE Recognition

 

2. Principles for Unincorporated Joint Ventures

 

3. Clarifications around Exempted Micro Enterprises and Qualifying Small Enterprises

 

4. The Enhanced B-BBEE Recognition Level for Generic Enterprises
