Free, dynamic SMME training programme on offer next month

January 10, 2019

Durban - The National Empowerment Fund (NEF) through its pre-investment business unit is offering a dynamic SMME entrepreneurship training programme in KwaZulu-Natal.

The NEF, an agency of the Department of Trade and Industry, promotes and supports commercially sustainable businesses that are owned and run by black people in order to promote and facilitate black economic equality and transformation across a range of sectors.

As part of its mandate, it offers training to emerging black-owned SMEs to develop an understanding of basic business principles and business management competencies in the areas of finance, HR and legal compliance. It also serves as a marketing tool for NEF funding products.

The integrated programme being offered consists of business and finance modules and includes personal mastery to develop entrepreneurs.

Mint Fresh Advisory Services has been appointed by the NEF to conduct the entrepreneurship training programme. Mint Fresh is responsible for the recruitment and delivery of the programme.

Participants will have to attend two days a week for at least six weeks. Part of the benefit of attending the programme is the ability to pitch for funding to the NEF and others at the end of the programme.

The training is free and is to be held in Pietermaritzburg in mid February. However, details of dates and venues will be communicated to those who have been selected. If interested, you may register at
