Bursaries play a critical role in South Africa’s Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) framework, specifically under the Skills Development element of the scorecard. They represent more than just financial aid, they are a direct investment in shaping the country’s future workforce.
By funding higher education for Black South Africans, companies not only contribute to Transformation but also help close the gap between economic opportunity and educational access. Bursaries empower talented young individuals who may otherwise be excluded due to financial barriers, ensuring that economic growth is both inclusive and sustainable.
Bursary Services are on hand to assist with managing Bursary programmes on behalf of Members.
